ARE WE OBLIGATED TO BUY?
No. There is absolutely no obligation, either now or in the future, to buy anything. We only want to make a great impression and hope to be one of the companies you consider when the time comes to do the work.
WHAT CAN WE EXPECT DURING THE CONSULTATION?
Your personal Design Consultant will take the time to listen to your objectives and concerns, inspect the existing conditions of your home, discuss options and potential solutions, provide you with complete and honest pricing information, discuss the installation process, then you make the decision without any high pressure tactics. Some more complex projects may require a few days to estimate.
WILL WE RECEIVE A WRITTEN QUOTE?
Yes. We will take precise measurements and based on your feedback provide an accurate written proposal and price.
WHO NEEDS TO PARTICIPATE?
All homeowners need to be present. We also suggest that you invite anyone whose input you value, such as a friend, relative, or significant other. This allows us to provide you with the most accurate proposal possible.
HOW MUCH TIME SHOULD WE SET ASIDE?
We have total respect for your time and will not waste it. Consultations will vary depending on your project and questions.
DO YOU OFFER FINANCING?
Yes. We can provide a wide variety of flexible financing programs with approved credit.
CAN WE PURCHASE 3 WINDOWS TO START?
Yes. We understand that not everyone can do all their windows at once. We have a program that allows you to complete your project at once or in phases.
IS THERE STILL AN ENERGY TAX CREDIT AVAILABLE?
In early January, Congress passed the American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012 reinstating the energy efficiency tax credits for windows and doors, which had previously expired at the end of 2011. The new tax credits reward homeowners who made qualifying energy improvements last year and encourage others to make improvements this year.
Highlights of the 2013 federal tax credits include:
• A consumer tax credit up to $200 for 10% of the cost of qualified replacement windows. Tax credit is for the cost of product only; does not include installation costs.
• A consumer tax credit up to $500 for 10% of the cost of qualified doors. Tax credit is for product only; does not include installation costs.
• Applies to ENERGY STAR® qualified windows and doors installed between January 1, 2012 and December 31, 2013.
• The tax credit is an extension of the 2011 tax credit, which means all previous federal tax credits are a lifetime maximum credit. A homeowner who has already used up the $200 or $500 credit from the 2006/2007 and 2011 tax credit or the $1,500 tax credit from 2009/2010 is no longer eligible for this tax credit.
As in past years, this is a tax credit, not a deduction, which means this credit will be applied directly to the balance due to the IRS on a homeowner’s tax return or increase their refund. The tax credit gives homeowners extra incentive to invest in ENERGY STAR® qualified Infinity Replacement Windows from Marvin.
